This writing vacation has been a lot more like just sitting home doing nothing.  I actually like it.  It's just like being unemployed except without the whole resume sending and Monster.com browsing deal.  I should treat this more like a retreat.
The time away from work is doing me good.  I still wonder and worry about what is going on in the office.  Overall, though, I'm ready to leave "the account" moreso now than even.  I will get nowhere in Princeton (prison) and I've got to do something that will make me happy.
At least I have found that I do in fact have time for my "night job" of writing.  I have another week away from work coming up the second week of December so maybe I'll do some more writing at that time.
One paragraph done.  I have to work on that today but I'm just glad I finally took care of some business I've put off for too long.  Made a Doctor's appointment for tomorrow.  Hopefully it won't run long because I have that wine tasting event early in the evening and that isn't too closeby.  Seems my energy has gone to social life this week rather than to writing.  Oh well, I'm fortunate to have the time to work on having a life.
I know everyone hates their jobs.  I hate mine because I'm better at it than I should be.  That just begets more work and little appreciation since you are the monkey who drops whatever he is doing to pick up everyone else's slack.  I'm all for being a team player but not so much anymore.  All bets are off once we are done with our backlog.  The way I see it, there is my team and there is my.  One of us is going to shine.
